Quick Start! Learn to Knit
One 2-hour session. Learn to cast on and do the knit stitch in this drop-in class. Bring or buy needles and yarn.

Cost: $25
Every Thursday, 6:00 to 8:00


Beginning Knitting
Three 2-hour sessions. Get started on your knitting career. Learn to cast on, knit and purl, and increase and decrease in this class for novice knitters. Bring or buy needles and yarn.

Cost: $75

Continuing Knitting
Three 2-hour sessions. Take the next step in your knitting with the help of an instructor. This class is designed to get you moving forward and developing new skills. You choose your project and we will assist you along the way in a supportive group atmosphere.

Cost: $75

Learn to Knit for Kids (and Parents, Too)
One 1.5-hour session. Learn to knit and start an easy, fun project. Buy or bring supplies. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

Cost: $25 per person.

One 2-hour session. Mystified by blocking? In this session you’ll learn why you should block, how to block, and lots of tips and tricks for making your finished projects look their best.

Colorplay: Variegation & Gradients
One 2-hour session. Love variegated and gradient yarns, but not sure how to work with them? In this workshop, Cory Ellen will teach you how to choose and use these beautiful yarns. The workshop will start with the basics of color theory, look at different types of variegation and gradients, and discuss what kinds of stitch patterns and design elements will make these yarns shine.

Market Bag
Two 2-hour sessions. Knit the Ilene Bag, a slouchy market bag with a wide, comfortable strap. A washable cotton or linen fiber will make the bag practical and easy to clean.

Easy Basic Hat
Two 2-hour sessions. Learn the basics of knitting a hat, including knitting in the round on circular needles and double-points and your choice of edgings. This is a great class for novices who already know how to knit. Buy or bring supplies (list provided at registration).

Ishbel Shawl
Two 2-hour sessions. Knit the popular Ishbel shawl by Ysolda Teague.  Learn about top-down shawl construction and how to knit lace, including reading charts.

Lelia Mitts 
Two 2-hour sessions. These cute striped mitts by designer Cory Ellen Boberg make a great introduction to color work.

Spotlight Sweater:

Three 2-hour sessions. Scared of sweaters? Want to take your knitting to the next level? Join us to make the Spotlight Sweater from Tin Can Knits.  This sweater, which comes in both kid and adult versions, is knit in the round from the bottom up, and includes some fun colorwork at the neckline.

My First Socks
Three 2-hour sessions. Learn to knit in the round using traditional double-pointed needles, then turn the heel as you create your first sock. This is a great portable project — once you start, you’ll be hooked. Prerequisite: Must be able to knit and purl. Buy or bring supplies (list provided at registration).

Get individual help with any knitting problem, or learn a new technique.

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Knitalong:

Sunday, June 11 from 3 to 5 to kick off the Rosencrantz & Guildenstern knitalong. Both of the designers will be here and we’ll have prizes and refreshments.

Passagio Shawl Knitalong:
Our other summer knitalong kicks off Saturday June 17 from 4 to 6 pm. Join us as we cast on our projects. We’ll offer plenty of help plus refreshments and door prizes. If you can’t make the party, you’re welcome to knit along at your own pace and join us for other events.
