New Yarns for Spring

Kavo (1)

With the warmer weather on its way (really, it is, we swear!) it’s time to think of lighter projects. We have three new yarns that would be perfect.
Zooey, from Juniper Moon, is a 60-percent cotton, 40-percent linen DK-weight blend made in Spain. It has a rustic, thick-and-thin texture and comes in a variety of natural shades.
Kavo (above), from Portland-based Shibui, is 85 percent cotton and 15 percent silk. Its unusual texture comes from the fact that the fact that the silk is wrapped around the cotton core. It can be knit at DK weight or looser, for a lacy feel.
And finally, Llama Lace Melange is a fingering-weight yarn that’s 100 percent baby llama. It’ll knit up into super-soft lace in lovely heathered colors.
