Pajama Party!

We’re going to party late into the night on Friday, July 18. Come as you are (PJs and sweats encouraged) and join us for a slew of activities. We’re planning a stash swap, where you can trade with other knitters and turn your unwanted yarn into something new and exciting. We’ll have refreshments, games and entertainment. There might even be a few ghost stories! We’ll have munchies, but feel free to bring your favorite snack or bottle. And your knitting, of course! The fun will continue until midnight or until we’re too pooped to party. And we’ll be happy to escort you to your car after...

Where Does Yarn Come From?

Where Does Yarn Come From?

During last month’s Art Walk, our special guest Moxie Lieberman decided that we needed a yarn faucet. She poked and sculpted wool all weekend and left us with this inventive and inspiring sculpture for our shop. We are awed.

Summer Mystery Shawl Signups

Summer Mystery Shawl Signups

There’s still time to sign up for our 2014 summer mystery shawl knitalong. This year we are taking a trip down the rabbit hole with an Alice in Wonderland themed shawl created with Frabjous Fibers’s Cheshire Cat colorpacks. Participation in the knitalong is $7 and will include a pdf of the complete pattern at the end of the knitalong. You can sign up at the shop or by phone at...

We got a lot of opinions on which colors to use for our newest version of the Simplest Cowl. Hannah decided to use the light purple Kidsilk Haze and knocked out this little cowl in no time. Zinnia, a Different Option

We decided to make a second sample of our current knitalong sweater, Zinnia. The original is knit in Kenzie, a delicious combination of merino, nylon, alpaca, angora and silk noil. It creates a tweedy fabric with a light haze. For our second model we chose Spud & Chloe Sweater, a superwash wool and organic cotton blend. Sweater creates a smooth, dense fabric. The stitch pattern really leaps out. Both are lovely. If you haven’t joined the knitalong yet it’s never too late. Stop by the shop for a copy of the pattern and see the models in...
