Blue Moon Rising

Join us Thursday through Sunday at the Madrona Fiber Arts Festival at the Hotel Murano in Tacoma. In our booth we’ll be introducing four more yarns from Blue Moon Fiber Arts, maker of the ever-popular Socks That Rock. The yarns will be available at the store from February 16 onward. We think you’ll love them as much as we do.
Silky Victoria, a DK yarn, is 85 percent Polworth wool and 15 percent silk. It’s soft and lofty with a touch of shine and excellent stitch definition.
Targhee Worsted comes from a domestic sheep breed known for its extra-lofty wool. Raised and milled domestically, this yarn wears exceptionally well.
Yaksi Fingering is actually a merino-yak-silk blend. This wonderfully soft, tightly spun wool is excellent for lace knitting.
Sookie is an extra-bulky single-ply. It’s light and soft, felts wonderfully and comes in Blue Moon’s signature multicolors.
